SHOW FULLSCREEN Seld\u00e9n Mast is to supply spars to the Hadron H2 class of dinghy. Seld\u00e9n will supply the Hadron H2 class with its carbon S2 dinghy mast and oval B086 boom. \u201cWhile investigating a change in mast supplier to a UK based manufacturer as well as increase volume, we approached Seld\u00e9n to develop a mast to replicate the bend characteristics of the original mast,\u201d says Keith Callaghan, Hadron Dinghies director. \u201cFollowing rigorous testing with the current H2 National Champion, Nick Craig, who said it \u2018looks identical, if you didn\u2019t know it was different you wouldn\u2019t notice\u2019, we were pleased to issue the license to manufacture to Seld\u00e9n, who has worked closely with us at all stages.\u201d Richard Le Mer, Seld\u00e9n Mast account manager, added: \u201cWith its narrow round section and long top taper, the S2 mast blades the sail off in a predictable manner, suiting the H2 enormously as well as offering the class an excellent performance to price ratio. \u201cThe testing program proved that performance wise, any effect on the class has been minimised.\u201d Seld\u00e9n will be supplying 24 masts per year to the class initially.
