Marlow’s environmentally friendly ropes will be used on board the SailGP fleet<\/p>\n

SailGP has collaborated with rope manufacturer Marlow Ropes.<\/p>\n
Marlow will serve as official rope supplier with its ropes onboard SailGP\u2019s race boats through to 2022.<\/p>\n
Marlow Ropes will supply SailGP with high-performing lines from its new eco-conscious ranges, including the bio-based Dyneema fiber for use onboard the high-speed F50 foiling catamarans and Blue Ocean dock lines made from 100% recycled waste from plastic bottles to aid docking.<\/p>\n

Performance<\/p>\n
Marlow\u2019s Blue Ocean dock lines provide an eco-alternative to standard polyester ropes, while still offering strength and stretch performance.<\/p>\n
The rope is made from yarn manufactured from recycled waste plastic bottles, with 7.5 bottles incorporated in every metre of Blue Ocean dock line.<\/p>\n
Marlow\u2019s Bio-based Dyneema fibre\u00a0has identical technical characteristics and performance as conventional Dyneema, but has a reduced reliance on fossil fuels, using\u00a0products\u00a0from waste in the pulp and timber industry as its primary raw material.<\/p>\n
