Hamble Point Yacht Charters\u2019 Solent base has become the first approved UK location for a new global agency which promises an innovative way for yacht owners to maximise their charter income.<\/p>\n
Sweden-based Yacht-Match aims to facilitate the relationship between potential yacht owners and charter operators and offers potential yacht buyers independent, professional advice, direct-from-manufacturer pricing on new yachts and a deal with a yacht charter company in their favoured location before they commit to the purchase.<\/p>\n
Dirk Agter, co-founder of Yacht-Match, alongside Viktor van Savooyen, commented: \u201cAfter 30 years as a broker, I set up Yacht-Match as I believe this format offers a truly unique and fantastic option for people who want to own a yacht but would like charters to help subsidise the running costs.\u201d<\/p>\n
Opening up market<\/p>\n
The company aims to enable people who have previously been put off by the high cost of yacht ownership to easily identify the likely charter revenue and factor this in to their decision making.<\/p>\n
Yacht owners who purchase their yacht through Yacht-Match will have the possibility to use some of their \u2018Owners Weeks\u2019 to sail other yachts within the global network, giving owners the opportunity to explore new and distant sailing areas, as well as sailing their own yacht.<\/p>\n
Yacht-Match has now developed partnerships with over 30 worldwide locations, including Cuba, the Caribbean and Mediterranean.<\/p>\n
