Great Circle\u2013Squid has been named official weather provider of the Volvo Ocean Race.<\/p>\n
Safety and performance will be the main focus for the meteorological data that is provided daily to the race management team, which is then shared with each of the competitors taking part in the race.<\/p>\n
\u201cBeing relied on to provide accurate weather forecasting for one of the biggest and most challenging yacht races in the world is a responsibility we take very seriously,\u201d said G\u00e9rald Bibot, Great Circle\u2013Squid CEO.<\/p>\n
The race started in October and will take the seven competing teams to 12 stopover ports around the world over eight months.<\/p>\n
