{"id":1122,"date":"2017-05-02T10:11:53","date_gmt":"2017-05-02T10:11:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.marlow-ropes.co.uk\/?p=1122"},"modified":"2017-05-02T10:11:53","modified_gmt":"2017-05-02T10:11:53","slug":"boating-business-plymouth-chosen-as-host","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.marlow-ropes.co.uk\/?p=1122","title":{"rendered":"Boating Business | Plymouth chosen as host"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Email Print<\/p>\n<p>Plymouth chosen as host<\/p>\n<p>26 Apr 2017<\/p>\n<p>The 50th anniversary of the Golden Globe Race will be commemorated with a salute to Sir Robin Knox-Johnston<\/p>\n<p>Plymouth has been announced as the host port for the start and finish of the 2018 Golden Globe Race.<\/p>\n<p>The race marks the 50th anniversary of Sir Robin Knox-Johnston\u2019s victory in the Sunday Times Golden Globe solo non-stop round the world Race back in 1968\/9 with 30 skippers due to take part.<\/p>\n<p>A pre-event parade of sail will take place in Falmouth Harbour with a salute to Sir Robin.
